Stray incidents of violence in riot-torn Mau
Mau: Stray incidents of violence were reported in certain parts of this riot-hit town and curfew was relaxed in some areas for 12 hours on Wednesday, police said.
Unidentified persons set on fire a building in a busy area of the town on Tuesday night following which members of the rival community burnt down a shop on Wednesday in the Mirza Hadipura locality, police said.
In another incident, a group of people threw stones at a group of women at Premanagar Chakia village on Tuesday night in which four women were injured, police said. Tension prevailed in the village following the incident. Senior officials have reached to the spot and efforts are on to catch the culprits.
